Facebook Article
This article written by Pamela Paul asks the question, "Does Facebook make someone social offline?" To my suprise the answer is yes, according to this article. I didn't think that using a social networking site would make someone more socially involved offline than they already were.
Also, in this article Paul describes how men and women use facebook. According to her, men use facebook to post informartion, and generally use it more seriously than women. Women use facebook in a more affectionate way.
It does make sense to me. Being online on Facebook, you are connected to a lot more people then when you are not. You have access to over more than 100 people with just a click of a button.
